The upcoming AI Summit will be organised by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), in partnership with Saudi Aramco.
The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will also participate in the summit. The announcement was made during a press conference in Riyadh.
The summit will be held under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Saudi Arabia has been promoting the use of AI technology in various sectors. In 2019, it launched the National AI Strategy which focuses on preparing the Kingdom for the future of AI technologies.

Maharashtra Government launches ‘Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme’ The Maharashtra Government has launched the ‘Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme’ to provide subsidy on agricultural input costs.
The scheme will be implemented under Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Shetkari Karja Mukti Yojana (MJPKMY). The scheme is the first of its kind in India.
It will provide subsidies on agricultural inputs such as seeds, pesticides, etc. The scheme will improve the agriculture sector and benefit farmers.
The scheme will cover all farmers in the state. It will benefit 1.3 crore farmers in the state. It will cost Rs. 2,000 crore to the state government.
The scheme will benefit farmers of all categories, including small, marginal, farmers, sharecroppers, etc.
The scheme will also benefit tenant farmers. It will cover all crops, including horticultural crops.
The scheme will cover all talukas in the state. It will be implemented from the Rabi season of 2020-21.

Ministry of Textiles launches ‘Pashu Swayamsevak Protsahan Yojana’ The Ministry of Textiles has launched the ‘Pashu Swayamsevak Protsahan Yojana’.
The scheme is an initiative to provide financial support to Animal Husbandry and Dairying (AHD) department of state governments and union territories.
The scheme aims to promote animal husbandry in the country. It will provide financial assistance to animal husbandry department to impart training to veterinarians, animal husbandry workers, and self-help groups.
It will also provide financial assistance to animal husbandry department to implement schemes for the welfare of animals.
The scheme will be implemented in all states and union territories. It will be implemented in a phased manner.
The scheme will be implemented for a period of 3 years. It will benefit about 7 lakh veterinarians, animal husbandry workers, and self-help groups.
